Azden SGM1X not pick up sound when connected to the video camera?
I bought a shotgun SGM1X Azden Micraphone. I bought out of Amazon. But not work on any video camera that I left. I'm using an XLR adapter and connect it to the mini-microphone Jackon my video camera Cannon. When I connect to the camera, the camera knows that the microphone has been input. However, when recording, no audio is collected. It's just completely speechless! Need that the microphone is working. I know the microphone works because you can record with it in my CPU, etc so it works for just about everything except camcorders. Any idea?
XLR adapter? What? I use either a CX231 juicedLink or BeachTek DXA-6. I never recommend using a XLR-to-1 / 8 "cable tail. Power / Strength requirements of the camera is likely very different from those for computer audio input. Also, since we said that Canon (one "n") video camera you use, do not know if you have the ability to select the line or mic level … and who knows what, if any control Audio can be set manually. And there's a fresh AAA battery in the microphone, right?
