What is the best way to copy and transfer the Hi8 digital camcorder tapes to DVD?
I have over 30 tapes of our old camcorder Sony to transfer and the need to do so immediately. Any advice? I like to play this type of DVD on a regular DVD player connected to our TV …
Depends on how much and is willing to spend. The quickest way is probably to take it to a transfer house. That could cost you a bit. If you have following equipment listed below can do it yourself and the quality would be very close to it. 1. DVD recorder with a cable input on the back fire 2. An editing system on your computer as Pinnacle (or simulate editing program) 3. Along with the editing program with a video card in your computer with a cable heat input to maintain the quality of DVD. (The camcorder should have a fire wire attachment against him. You can use this as the home player on the card video), then use the re-compression program that comes with editing software and also make Mpeg 4. This is the DVD quality video. After returning compressed into MPEG 4 in the program and then copied it to DVD. If the equipment is new should have a DVD recorder. So if you do not have any of the above, it's best to go to a transfer house, because buying all this equipment if it does not, it would be more costly and time to do it yourself.
