Beef Up Video?
I have a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 video card with 128 MB. The maximum resolution is 2048×1536 (supposedly). I just got an HP w2207. How do I set the video to go to HP optimal res of 1680×1050. The video settings to 1280×960 seems to be maximized. I'm using connections DVI.
1280×960 is the "native" resolution of the HP w2207 LCD monitor. Unlike CRT monitors, this setting can not be changed (for sure). So you're stuck with that resolution and refresh rate (60 Hz), and a better graphics card does not help much, except for frame rates, RTFM etc..
