Is it possible to create Blu-Ray discs with menus as it is with DVDs?

I am a wedding videographer and editor of FCP. I am switching to a standard prosumer HD camcorder and want to be able to create Blu-Ray with fancy schmancy menus and what-not. What are my options on a Mac? Can I burn more data than disks with the units currently available? To be clear, I know I have to buy a Blu-Ray. Beyond that, Is there software to author Blu-Ray discs with menus? Or am I limited to creating data discs?

Many of us were waiting for iLife 09 will include support for Blu-Ray for iDVD, unfortunately for some reason Apple decided not to offer this feature. Support for HD is a pretty big, so not expect a budget-minded Blu-ray solution in the coming years until the release of iLife. On Mac, the current version of Adobe's Encore will be your best bet: He will sit again http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/encore/ about $ 1k and authoring Blu-Ray menu is limited. In Windows PC: A program more powerful (in this mans opinion anyway) Sony Vegas Studio Platinum can be had for about $ 100. This offers a significant video-editing package that includes HD support the creation of Blu-Ray. Again, menu authoring Blu-Ray is there, but limited compared to what the format offers. The problem with the authoring Blu Ray powerful menus is that in addition to supporting the DVD menu format, the Blu-Ray allows authors to our Sun Microsystems Java platform (BD-J) for their menus, This means to get the most out of what is offered, it would take to hire a software engineer to help you is a modern Java programming language. The Menus robust as those found in retail Hollywood films were developed by programmers who work with graphic artist and treated as projects software development. What you will find in the packages of video editing is essentially a high definition Blu-Ray counterpart creation menu to what has been available for years for the DVD menu I think for most applications this will be enough professionals.

Video cameras are high definition fashion in the new millennium. Although prices may be higher than standard-definition camcorders, customers are still buying these cameras on the market. You may wonder what makes a video camera high definition different from the rest of the cameras there. Do not worry! We'll get to that soon. First, let's talk a little about how it all began.

The History of HD Video Cameras

The HDV (High Definition Video) format was developed by JVC, Sony Corporation, Canon Inc. and Sharp Corporation. Investors in that enormous time JVC and Sony. You can say these four companies were the first companies to provide consumers with HD video cameras. Today companies, there are others who do HDV hardware products, except Sharp.

The first launch was JVC HDV camcorder. His first was the JVC GR-HD1 camcorder. It allows the user to use a standard DV or HDV camcorder 601 using the old standard color space instead of the more recent rule 709. And because of this and other limitations of the camera, the GR-HD1 did not gain popularity as expected. Then changed its development JVC HDV shoulder mounted cameras.

In September 2004, Sony was able to release the second HDV camcorder on the market. It was the Sony HDR-FX1 camcorder. Although it was the second HDV camcorder to be released, was the first of its kind to gain popularity.

Later, a series HD video cameras followed. Canon released a series of models on the market that are said to both consumers and power users. Their most popular models are Canon XLH1, XHA1, XHG1, HV10 and HV20.

In 2007, almost every manufacturer had 1 HD camcorder for consumers. Major manufacturers are Sony, Canon, Panasonic and JVC. Sony is currently in the lead because of their wide selection of models to choose from. Canon, Panasonic and JVC on the other hand can be known in the lead, but they are manufacturing multiple models for both consumers and professionals. However, the best HDV camcorder for 2007 in relation to performance must be awarded to Canon and then followed by Sony. Canon HV20 model allowed the manufacturing company have first place in the production of HDV camcorders.

Edit your HDV

Since HDV uses MPEG2 compression to fit HD content on the same DV or mini DV tapes, which are somewhat difficult to modify. HDV splicing for example, distort the video at the point of junction due to the interdependencies between the groups of video frames.

There's more. HDV editing files also forces the system computer to work harder to perform simple tasks splicing from the frames in the video does not actually exist as independent cells. So some tables may have to be rebuilt.

But there is no need to worry, as there are advantages to editing high definition videos through the use of an intermediary Lossless. The result is that the file will increase and will have a greater storage of your videos on your hard drive.

Despite its drawbacks and limitations, HD Video Cameras follow the cameras ever used for independent video productions. They can be used for professionals or consumers who are interested in filmmaking, and studio applications such as news and documentaries.
