CalArts-any suggestions?
Well, as we all get to our third year in high school, we delight in the fact that now we are part elite. Then duck behind a corner and panic about the imminent applications and testing. I myself have been attracted by the art world while looking around in the institutions, I found a little CalArts and liked it. Since high school, I participated in making props for plays and I feel proud realist can make furniture and home decor with paint and cardboard only. In fact, the school remains one of my murals permanently for use in their dance annual jazz. So I was considering going to the theater department and work on props. So I was wondering, does anyone have any suggestions about how to get (content of portfolio)? what should I do when I get there? If not, do you have any suggestions for other art school? responses are welcome.
I a university professor of art and exhibiting contemporary artist. I recommend that research research research what art really is and if you feel that can contribute to the ongoing exploration of art and perception. It is not an easy life, but can be very interesting. But really, read a lot and go to galleries you can, develop influences, these always going to change but you have to start somewhere. S f you really do not want material rewards and a normal life after continue a career in the art world, but not be a pawn of the art world, creating their unique place within it. Good luck!
