Dell D520 video cable does differ from the 14 and 15 inch screen?

replace my 14-inch screen with 15 inches and the video cable not to connect to the new screen. WTF? Is not the same cable? not a desktop computer is a laptop. has nothing to do with the standard control cables.

There are 3 types of cables, VGA, DVI and HDMI for monitors.They generally are blue VGA, DVI and white for Black to manfacturers HDMI.Some differ in color, but that should give the new displays basis are generally idea.The DVI and you can buy an adapter for a few dollars, which is much cheaper than replacing a cable.
