Let me start by saying that my tests were conducted over a 6-cylinder '98 Toyota Tacoma, manual transmission. It is very important to note that the vehicle companies use to do their testing. They are often the best state. Of course you do this, they are trying to sell, take this into account when it is doing research for his next performance pick. My first step was to work on the intake. I wanted to measure the improvement of each individual update and then measure the difference with the two updates. I have not read about anyone in any part of the total measurement improving and see if each individual improvement matched the overall improvement or if you receive more benefits in both matches.
Consumption in my Tacoma was quite easy to eliminate a few brackets and all were very clearly defined, both in my owner's manual and installation manual provided with the package from banks I've used. I clung to my old piece of dirty old intake (my truck has 150,000 miles), just in case you need in the future. Banks air intake kit had all clips I needed, so the new air flow was nice and firm. From the looks of how to fit perfectly in my other engine parts, it appeared that the flow of air is freer, less restricted, and better, but I had to start seeing the real difference. It sure looks good under the hood too:)
I started with my fingers crossed because I'm not the smartest high-tech vehicle, but it started and I heard a more powerful signal of the acceleration my gas pedal immediately. The RPM was a good boost for them. I took my driving test on my neighborhood street and Interstate 5, drive the roads on a daily basis. I could not get on the pitch and keep the desire to break the gas pedal down. I was able to reach 5 faster and run at speed level maximum on the highway a little more freely, not a big difference, by any means, but noticeable improvement. I measured the MPG for this unit before the intake, then the test, I was an average of 1.5% in MPG. Not huge, but great to see, because along with the improved sense of energy, the engine was doing its work more easy, because the air flow.
The next step was to eliminate the consumption and put in an original … was not too hard because I had just done before exchange. I installed the Banks Monster exhaust with 2 friends of mine, which took several hours on a Saturday. I would recommend making the first entry in a race like this, because they are easier to change and go as compared to an exhaust system, sure.
So the exhaust has been tested and the tone was exactly what I wanted. I was almost guttural diesel, which comes out of my Tacoma! Finally I would like to sound like when he was in high school. I also felt soft at speeds maximum and it was through each gear with ease.
The final test consisted of mods at once. My intuition was correct in this case. For the general feeling, the tone of trading RPM, MPG momentum of 3.3, I sincerely believe that receives over two mods statements cut as an input and exhaust upgrade. That does cost money and are not free, but if your driving experience and appearance are important to you, we recommend looking at the link mods together instead of going to people.
