We’re using a DVD mini camcorder, but you only enjoy approx 60 minutes of recording time on one of the small DVDs. I don’t want to use a DVD-R-DL, because they’re expensive and can just be used once. I would like some instrument to hook my camera to a device (like a DVD recorder) and record directly to a life-size DVD instead of the mini discs. Then I would take the larger DVD and use it within my duplicator to make the copies of the church service. I hooked the camera to my personal DVD recorder and I could see everything on TV as I moved the camera around, but whenever I press the text button on the DVD Recorder, it tells me that it can’t register because the device is copywright protected. I’m not sure why it thinks me videoing the contents of my home is copyrighted, so in that must be some reason that it want allow me to of late record doesn`t matter what the camcorder is pointed at without have to use the DVD in the camera. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris

Shooting a wedding video I be in equal room with the bride and bridesmaids.The latter be helping the former to put the dress on. I had this predicament: There be two sources of light , the sun coming within from the window and the three lamp in the room. When I examined the footage I saw that the white dress of the bride be yellowish and in other parts the dress be bluish. Is it pointless to seize a HD camcorder when owning a Mac?
There are a lot of compatibility issues when attempting to put HD video onto a Mac to cut. I know there are ways around it but from what I construe, when burning to a DVD it converts it to SD format anyway. (Unless I went the blue gleam route. Which I don’t want to do) So, is it pointless to get a HD camcorder if i’ll never conclude up seeing the video in HD. Or is it a better part because it was shot within HD regardless of the fact that it be converted to SD?

I want to take home movies from 8mm video tape, not reels, and put them onto the computer or create them into a DVD. I don’t have a 8mm camcorder and my dad’s broke. The model I bought is the new sony HDR-SR11. I want to invasion the footage I shoot on my mac. Obviously on my old camcorder i did this through firewire and it worked unbelievably easily. But for what ever root this camera does not have a firewire out put. Only a mini usb. My mac wont reconize the usb. What should I do? is at hand a cable that does mini usb to 4 pin firewire?
