What is the most professional video camera used could get for under $ 1000?
I want a professional video camera for surfing video. I like Sony and Camcorders Panasonic. I do not want a Canon GL2 and I do not say because I have had 2 of them break on me before. I watched maybe the Panasonic DVC30, but need one more suggestion. I'm open to anything. Thank you! Oh, yes, that would be nice to have one that shoots in SD cards, so if theres anyone who uses it as the Panasonic AG-HMC40. Thanks, but I really can recommend anyone who isn't a shoulder mount, in favor of smaller size, like the Canon XH-A1 size.

I bought an external microphone and have not had to use it, the built in microphone is so good. It looks heavy but is very lightweight and comfortable to use, I was surprised as to how light it was, is mainly hollow anyway, is a good weight for me, for me, because I'm very small, which makes it even more impressive! lol! I'm using Fcp2 and everything that comes beautifully! So far, I am very happy and content with this purchase.
