How can I get a mini disc camcorder into my computer?

We have a video camera with little discs. I want to save movies about them (mainly children) in a file somewhere, then burn to a standard size disc. that run Windows Vista. suggestions much appreciated. thanks

Two ways. As the disc / s is / are finished, put the disc into your computer's DVD drive (only do this if you have a unit charge) and then go to the Explorer DVD () and open (right open) there will be two folders video_ts a call to copy this to your computer, open and change the name of all files ending to MPG, VOB, then you can edit. a second attempt to load a prog called handbrake. http://handbrake.fr/downloads.php that will allow convert the video directly from DVD to computer. It will take a little time, so go for coffee, and should be done. then you can use Windows Movie The manufacturer or to try some others are going here some trials and some are free.
