Is the quality of high definition camcorder is supposed to be grainy indoors?
I just bought a HD camcorder Sony HDR (SR10) but the quality of the videos are very grainy, but the resolution is 1920×1080. When I go outside where its very bright, the quality is very good, but when I'm in my living room, where there is a decent amount of light, the quality is really grainy. Is this normal?
I've been very impressed with the disk camcorders hard. We tested a Everio … wicked! I'm surprised, Sony camcorders, it is usually awesome night. We have a HDR HC-7 and love it. The SR5 and 7 are rated good for low light conditions by Consumer Reports.org (your model is not on the list). You can verify your settings in the rate of full HD capture of 16 MPS. You can also try the "Nightshot" adjustment, but my experience is that contribute to its graininess. Finally, you can try to improve their conditions light.
