Why custom Windows Media Player plays the video from my camcorder?
Recently just bought a new video camera .. a Sony HDD model # DCR-SR47. upload videos on my Dell laptop is easy. but when playing videos through Windows Media Player is not audio. Tome the camera to a friend who also has a laptop with an HP … and the audio works fine .. I do not know what to try .. any ideas?
Its probably because the codecs, if you go to www.free-codecs.com and download a WMP codec package could be right then, if not then you need to get a player that will handle the type file. try VLC player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Good luck RR
